The former Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts, who is an ambassador for children’s charity Barnardo’s, has called on the British Government to provide youngsters with useful information to prevent themselves from sexting, paying special attention to its increase lately.
The ‘Beat Of My Drum’ hitmaker says “it’s down to the Government to stop letting them fend for themselves online and protect children proving compulsory sex and relationships education” and added that “with sexting becoming such a huge problem, it’s essential that children know how to protect themselves online.”
Nicola also provides her guideline as to how they shoul approach and teach the subject: giving schools guidelines and the option to only teach it when necessary will only keep us giving the same results: a recent survey shows the UK has a sexting epidemic within schools.
