Nicholas Bailey open to EastEnders return

Nicholas Bailey is up for a return to \'EastEnders\' - urging bosses to call him.

The 46-year-old actor would love to bring his character Dr. Anthony Trueman back to the Albert Square - he left in 2005 after a five-year spell on the soap, before making a brief comeback in 2014 - adding that it\'s a role that has been "good" to him.

He told The Sun Online: "I would go back to EastEnders. The character is there and I never say never to anything. If they had a storyline and they had something for me to do then you never say never. The character has been good to me. I\'d never say no. I would never say I\'d never come back. It\'s a character that I love to play. They know where the phone is."

There would be scope for him to make a comeback given his history with sisters Kat (Jessie Wallace) and Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan), having dated both of them on-screen in the early 2000s, whilst Anthony\'s dad Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) still lives in Walford.

Jessie makes her return as legendary character Kat in the BBC One soap next week amidst confusion for the Slater clan and the residents of Albert Square who have been told by Kat\'s grandmother Big Mo - played by the returning Laila Morse - that she is dead.

Although details of Kat\'s big return are being kept under wraps, it is known that she won\'t be back with husband Alfie Moon and although Jessie admits it will be weird for her to be without her co-star Shane Richie she thinks it can give Kat a new lease of life in Walford.

Speaking to the Radio Times magazine, she said: "It did feel weird coming back without Shane. I\'m sure he\'s busy doing other stuff. I\'m not sure what the writers have in store, but it will be exciting for the fans. I\'d like Kat to be more with her family - I like the banter and them getting up to mischief. And I\'d like her to be single for a while - I want to build the Slaters back up and see where it goes from there."
