Dr Alex George says that he wants a break from dating.
The 27-year old heartthrob has revealed that he wants a break from romancing since his stint on ITV\'s \'Love Island\' even though appearing on the reality show has boosted his profile.
The hunky A&E doctor exclusively told Bang Showbiz at the RedZone.Bet Thanksgiving party: "At the moment I\'m taking a long break. I\'ve tried \'Love Island\' - that didn\'t work - so I better take time to restock.
"I\'m just focusing on myself and everything after the show. I had 400 followers when I went on the show and I\'ve got a few more now.
"I guess that\'s what happens when you leave - but I didn\'t go on the show for that. I didn\'t expect everything else to come from that. Given the journey I think it\'s important to just stand back and focus on myself."
Alex is more interested in spending time with his family - who supported him during the show - than looking for romance this festive season and revealed that he is spending this Christmas in Wales.
He said: "This Christmas I\'m going back to Wales to see my family, they were very good to me on the show and they looked after me on the outside so I can\'t wait to go back and see them."
Alex - who claims he learned that he was a "lot stronger" than he actually thought he was after appearing on the intense reality show - is happy that his fellow former contestants are working successfully now the show has finished.
He said: "I know Jack (Fincham) has launched his new pen range. I think everyone is quite busy doing different kind of things.
"Some people are doing events, clothing and PAs and stuff. They\'re all doing all sorts."
