Ashley Taylor Dawson didn\'t enjoy breathing in lots of dust during his \'Hollyoaks\' stunt week scenes.
The 37-year-old star has lifted the lid on some of the behind the scenes secrets of shooting this week\'s huge stunt, which saw a crane collapse cause the village concrete to cave into the ancient Roman tunnels, while his character Darren Osborne and ex-wife Nancy Hayton (Jessica Fox) were inside them.
And the \'Oaks\' veteran admits he had to film in a big room covered in dust, which saw him "breathing in crap" a lot of the time.
He told BANG Showbiz: "With any explosions or anything it\'s never nice doing anything like that.
"I was basically in this big room with dust.
"So the whole time even when you\'re talking in between you\'re just breathing in crap, and that\'s not nice."
However, the star admits it is "always fun" being involved in the soap\'s annual stunt week.
He added: "Apart from that it\'s always fun, you\'ve got the explosive thing where everything shoots out.
"So it wasn\'t as hectic as some stunts, but hopefully you get the feel for it."
Darren and Nancy headed into the tunnels in search of youngsters Charlie Dean (Charlie Behan) and Ella Richardson (Erin Palmer), and viewers have now seen the former flames get more than they bargained for after they slept with each other.
But Ashley wondered how on earth he was going to portray the dusty and intimate moment on screen when he first read the script.
He added: "You can imagine when I got that script in the tunnels. You go, \'Oh God, oh no.\'
"In the back of your head you\'re thinking, \'You\'re never really ready for that day.\'
"Because we shot it all back to front we were right at the end, so it was good for me. It was in the back of my head, I thought, \'I don\'t need to tackle this yet.\'
"It\'s such a big move from what they\'ve been through but you\'re only doing it in a couple of scenes.
"So you\'ve got to go through all these gears of hating each other, not really getting on and then sleeping together.
"And I was thinking, \'How the hell am I going to do that?\' "
