Jake Wood to record audio version of Tyson Fury's autobiography

\'EastEnders\' star Jake Wood is going to voice the audio version of Tyson Fury\'s upcoming autobiography.

\'Behind the Mask: My Autobiography\' sees Tyson open up about his family life, career and struggles with mental health and alcohol and drug abuse which led to a suicide attempt, all of which came after he became world heavyweight champion in 2015 after his shock defeat of Wladimir Klitschko.

Boxing mega fan Jake, 47, has been asked to record the book by 31-year-old Tyson - who has been a guest on the Pound for Pound podcast - and he had no hesitation on accepting the offer but he won\'t be ditching his Cockney accent for the job just because the giant pugilist is from Manchester.

Jake - who plays Max Branning on the BBC One soap - said: "It\'s good but weird as I\'m not from Manchester."

Tyson - who made his return to boxing in 2018 - said of the tome: "For the first time ever I\'ve told my whole story, and revealed the real me, warts and all. I\'ve spoken about the darkest moments of my life, when I came within seconds of ending everything in a Ferrari at 160mph. I\'ve spoken about my upbringing, my family, my fights, my faith, my weight loss. And I\'ve relived my battle with depression, drink and drugs.

"It\'s a story about coming back from the brink, and how I changed my mind-set and attitude to life to do this. It\'s a story that\'s bigger than boxing. I hope it can help people out there to get help if they\'re struggling with mental health problems. If I can comeback from these things, so can you."

The hardback version of \'Behind the Mask: My Autobiography\' is released on November 14.
