Maura Higgins is "bruised all over" from \'Dancing On Ice\' rehearsals.
The former \'Love Island\' star will be skating this weekend on the new series of the ITV competition, and she admitted her training for the show has been very intense.
Appearing on \'This Morning\' on Friday (10.01.20), she said: "I\'m definitey a nervous wreck, but I\'m so, so excited...
"I\'m bruised all over. My ribs are still not healed, it\'s very intense!"
The 29-year-old beauty - who appeared on the show\'s Christmas special over the festive period - will be skating with pro Alexander Demetriou on the show, and she has teased some big plans for their routine.
She added: "We\'re doing a lift, we\'re doing a spin. You know what? I\'m actually OK with all that, it\'s the skating!"
Meanwhile, Curtis Pritchard has been helping girlfriend Maura with dance lessons to help with her training.
The professional dancer has stepped in to help out his significant other ahead of her debut on the ice programme, and he hopes his assistance will "really help" her out.
He said: "I\'ve done a bit of dancing with her. Just normal ballroom and Latin dancing, and she\'s a great follower.
"She holds her body perfectly. Her arms connected to her body, connected to her legs, it all works in one. So I think that\'s really going to help on the ice."
Curtis admitted Maura "wasn\'t the best" on the ice when she started rehearsing for the ITV show, but she has made a "massive improvement".
He revealed: "She\'s doing incredibly. She just got back from Ireland, and she\'s training today. She\'s excited to get back on the ice.
"From her first day to now there has been a massive improvement. She\'s never ice skated before. I watched her on the first day and I\'m not going to lie, she wasn\'t the best."
