James May has reportedly landed his own cooking show.
The \'Grand Tour\' star - who presents the Amazon Prime show alongside co-hosts Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond - is said to be fronting a new Plum Pictures programme called \'Oh Cook\', which got its name from his "oh c**k" outbursts on \'Top Gear\'.
An insider told The Sun newspaper\'s Bizarre TV column: "When he was temporarily unemployed after leaving BBC2\'s \'Top Gear\' five years ago, James got quite a following for the cookery segments on his YouTube channel.
"He hinted that he\'s almost as capable in the kitchen as he is behind the wheel of a high-performance sports car.
"And James has even appeared in an episode of Gordon Ramsay\'s Channel 4 show, \'The F Word\', where he went head-to-head with the chef to create a mean fish pie."
It\'s said the upcoming project will continue to push the 57-year-old star as a "personality in his own right".
The source added: "Crucially, this show also builds on the idea of James as a TV personality in his own right, not just part of the presenting team of \'Top Gear\' and \'The Grand Tour\'."
The production company - which has worked on a number of factual programmes with James in the past, including \'Our Man In Japan\' - is now looking for a broadcaster to screen the new series.
The firm has also collaborated with the likes of Piers Morgan, Sir Trevor McDonald and Piers Morgan.
Last year, James hinted he could quit \'Grand Tour\' because he doesn\'t want "to fall apart in public".
He explained: "How do I feel about ageing? Bad. I\'m in the second half of my fifties now and in all honesty, I\'m slightly falling apart.
"I\'m developing nervous disorders and aches and I don\'t think I\'ll do this much longer because I don\'t want to fall apart in public.
"It would just be a bit undignified and I don\'t think people want to see it."
