Stephen Hawking documentary among fascinating new Sky shows

Sky Documentaries have announced several new shows, including a Stephen Hawking biography.

The upcoming TV channel will air a 90-minute feature called \'Hawking\' about the late legendary professor - who died in 2018 at the age of 76 - during its launch on May 27th.

It will follow the life of Stephen, and will explore how he became one of the most iconic physicists, with footage from his private family life, and interviews with his family, friends and colleagues.

The documentary is part of Sky\'s raft of new shows for Sky Documentaries and Sky Nature, including access to Tina Turner, Mike Tyson and Frank Bruno, as well as a look at Hollywood legend Steve McQueen.

\'Tina Turner\' will show exclusive footage of the Grammy-winning singer and look at how she became the holder of the Guinness World Record for selling more concert tickets than any solo performer in history after facing adversity.

\'Tyson Bruno\' follows the two legendary sportsmen following their 1989 boxing match for the WBA, WBC, IBF and lineal heavyweight championships.

\'McQueen: The Lost Movie\' will be released in what would\'ve been the legendary actor\'s 90th year, with footage from his last and unfinished film that was thought to be lost after his death in 1980.

Other new Sky shows include \'The Go-Go\'s\', which looks at the pioneering female punk band formed of Belinda Carlisle, Jane Wiedlin, Charlotte Caffey, Gina Schock and Kathy Valentine.
