Trisha Goddard was "shocked men were actually interested" in her when she started dating after her divorce.
The 62-year-old star has opened up about the aftermath of the breakdown of her marriage to Peter Gianfrancesco - including their "painful" split - and says her relationship impacted her outlook on romance.
Speaking on the \'Unleashed: The Game Changers\' podcast, she said: "You tend to be hyper-aware. I didn\'t think that I wanted to give up [on dating], I just thought \'I\'m going to be single.\'
"I was in no hurry to meet other guys and I was shocked men were actually interested in me."
The \'Trisha\' presenter - who has been dating a mystery man for two years - admitted that while she is "confident", the same level of being self-assured didn\'t carry through to her "love life".
She explained: "I feel confident in myself, but when it came to dating, and things like love life and sex life at this age, I thought \'Oh my God, ugh!\' "
Trisha and her man - who is four years older than her - met when she moved to Connecticut following her split from Peter after two decades of marriage.
Speaking about age gaps, she added: "I\'ve always had younger husbands, well, my first husband was older than me, a lot older than me.
"My second husband, the father of my children, was about six months younger and my last husband of 20 years was five-years younger, but like 15 years older?
"I\'ve really learned with people in general that you can\'t just go on their age. I\'ve met so many 50-year-old guys who are like 80, and my current boyfriend, #Boo as I call him, is older than me but he likes to play, he\'s a child.
"He\'s vigorous, he\'s ten years older than my ex-husband but 10 years younger? If that makes sense?"
