YouTube star Joe Wicks receives OBE nomination

Joe Wicks has been nominated for an OBE.

The 33-year-old fitness coach has helped to keep the nation active during the coronavirus lockdown with his YouTube PE classes, and Joe has now been nominated for a prestigious honour by hundreds of fans.

A source said: "Joe has become a household name since lockdown started and he\'s become a figurehead in isolation because of the PE classes he puts on every morning.

"Hundreds of requests putting his name forward for an OBE have been handed to the Honours committee.

"Many have been written by children who think Joe is fantastic."

Joe\'s efforts during the lockdown have been hailed by various high-profile figures.

And the TV star - who has raised more than £350,000 for the NHS - would be thrilled to receive recognition from the Queen, according to the source.

The insider told The Sun newspaper: "Those around Joe think the chances of him getting a nod are high, especially given the praise he\'s had from No10 and the fact that Prince William\'s three children - George, Charlotte and Louis - all do the class daily.

"Getting an honour from the Queen would be the icing on the cake for Joe. He had no idea his classes would prove so popular."

Meanwhile, Joe recently praised his wife Rosie as an "amazing and patient" parent to their kids.

The fitness coach - who has Indie, 22 months, and Marley, five months, with the brunette beauty - shared: "She really is amazing.

"She\'s so patient and I really admire that because I sometimes lose my patience and I get a bit intolerant but she\'s so calm and that for me is a really inspiring trait for me to become a better dad."
