Angela Griffin doesn\'t know whether \'White Lines\' will be commissioned for a second series.

The Netflix drama - which also stars the likes of Laura Haddock, Nuno Lopes, Marta Milans and Laurence Fox - has proven to be a huge hit with fans around the world, but Angela still doesn\'t know whether it\'ll return for a second season.

Speaking about the prospect of making another series, the actress said: "I mean, I really, really want there to be another one. It\'s such an amazing show to be part of.

"And it\'s done so well! We were top 10, I think, up until the day before yesterday, in the UK. We made it number one all over the world. The Netherlands, Germany ... I think at one point we were number one in 41 countries."

Angela, 43, also believes the mystery thriller - which tells the story of a woman who abandons her life to investigate her brother\'s disappearance in Ibiza - has offered a form of escapism to TV viewers amid the coronavirus lockdown.

She told \'Good Morning Britain\': "It\'s what everyone needed right now, to escape to Ibiza and have all those incredible vistas. An escapist show.

"I really want there to be another series. We\'re kind of all sat waiting now, waiting for the call."

In May, Daniel Mays admitted he\'s desperate to star in a second season of \'White Lines\'.

The 42-year-old actor - who plays Marcus Ward in the Netflix series - believes the show needs to be properly "resolved", and he\'s eager to be part of the project.

He said: "I think it\'s dying it\'s calling out for a second series.

"Its kind of none of it\'s been properly resolved. I don\'t wanna give away too much but, yeah I\'m just pitching for a second series."
