Noel Edmonds lands radio show in New Zealand

Noel Edmonds is set to front a new radio show about plants in New Zealand.

The 71-year-old television presenter - who has Harrison, 16, with his wife Liz Davies - has relocated his family to New Zealand to host the new project talking specifically to plants in a bid to help them grow.

He told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: "We ran an experiment with two plants, one of which we neglected and the other we played Positively Plants to.

"The difference was absolutely amazing, and then we played those tones, because it\'s all about tones, we played those tones to the plant that didn\'t look so good, and it perked up again."

The \'Noel\'s House Party\' host bought a home in Matakana, near Auckland in September 2019 before moving there permanently for the gig, but has promised locals he won\'t misbehave.

He added: "Kiwis can rest easy. I\'m not going to inflict myself upon this proud nation. I\'m not bringing Mr Blobby over. I\'m here to behave."

It comes after Noel and his wife put their seven-bedroom home near Bristol up for sale for £2.65 million at the beginning of last year to go house hunting across the world after he was voted off first on \'I\'m A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!\' in 2018.

An insider said at the time: "Noel and Liz have been looking at properties in New Zealand with a view to moving there.

"The fact he got the boot first from \'I\'m A Celeb...\' really smashed him to pieces.
