Danny Walters changes his exercise and diet regime according to his roles.
The former \'EastEnders\' actor - who played Keanu Taylor in the soap from 2017 until his departure earlier this year - has opened up on his process when it comes to getting into the right frame of mind for a new part.
Speaking to Mike Fenton Stevens\' \'My Time Capsule\' podcast, he said: "With any character that I play I always think about what that character would look like, what would their diet be, how much would they be able to train?
"Right now, I\'m maintaining a healthy-ish size which I can maintain and enjoy some of the foods that I enjoy and still train.
"At the moment I\'m training six days a week, which seems like a lot but that\'s an hour-a-day."
The 27-year-old soap star explained how he is able to "adapt" his training to fit each role.
He added: "If I\'m playing a character that has to be really skinny then I\'ll manipulate my calories, I\'ll go on a calorie deficit and do more cardio.
"If I have to play a soldier who has to be much more fitter then I will adapt my training to what they would be going through and how I can change my body."
However, Danny pointed out he always has to maintain a certain level of fitness to keep in shape and make the best impression for any potential auditions.
He said: "Being in this industry you always have to maintain a certain look, because we are judged within the first five seconds of walking into that audition room, that\'s why I take fitness quite serious."
