Lucy Mecklenburgh opens up on breastfeeding struggles

Lucy Mecklenburgh has turned to power pumping because her son "bites" her during breastfeeding.

The 29-year-old reality star - who has five-month-old Roman with fiance Ryan Thomas - has opened up on the struggles of breastfeeding her newborn as he grows frustrated and ends up biting her.

But she is still determined to breastfeed her boy, and has decided to give pumping a go as he has an allergy to cow\'s milk.

Posting a photo on her Instagram Stories of the 2:30am alarm she set on her phone, she told her followers: "Reluctantly my night pump is back. Hasn\'t been the easiest week!

"Horrendous food poisoning, extremely HOT especially for a baby, milk supply has dropped & me & Roman are both stressed, frustrated & tired.

"I\'m not ready to stop breast feeding & refuse to quit on a bad day so this is a step towards getting my supply up."

After being inundated with messages, she later updated her fans on her Stories: "Thankyou for all the lovely supportive DM\'s & for the great advice. To answer a lot in one go.

"Yes I\'m feeding him on demand but every feed involved roman biting & getting very frustrated, lots of skin to skin, lots of water (well cordial as i haven\'t been able to stomach water since pregnancy)

"I have oats most days & yes I\'m giving power pumping a go. But REST is a tough one haha! I want to continue breastfeeding & have been advised due to his cmpa [Cows Milk Protein Allergy] it really is the best thing for him right now & formula options are limited so I\'m determined to continue no matter what\'s thrown at me x (sic)"

However, the former \'TOWIE\' star insisted she isn\'t against formula but due to Roman\'s allergy there isn\'t enough options and would prefer to stick to breast milk.

She added: "*im not anti fomula before I get those messages. This is just my journey I want to share the highs & lows (sic)"
