Jessica Plummer lands first post-EastEnders role

Jessica Plummer has landed her first post-\'EastEnders\' role.

The 28-year-old actress\' character Chantelle Atkins was killed off last month at the hands of her domestic abuser husband Gray Atkins (Toby Alexander-Smith), and the star has now moved on after signing up for TV series \'Auditions\'.

Jessica has been filming alongside fellow former \'EastEnders\' star Gary Beadle, who played Paul Trueman on the BBC One soap from 2001 to 2004.

\'Auditions\' has been written and directed by Sheridan de Meyers.

Instagram account Inside Trak teased who their latest star was earlier this week, before revealing it is Jessica.

A post read: "Well done to those who guessed...the mystery actor in the mood lighting photographs is non other, than the incredible Jessica Plummer! (sic)"

Filming for the programme is currently underway in London.

Last week, Jessica admitted she was "in absolute bits" about leaving the soap.

She wrote on Instagram: "Now that the dust has slightly settled, I\'d just like to say..
