'Choose or Die': the new horror starring Asa Butterfield

'Choose or Die', formerly titled 'CURS>R' in the early developing stage, is an upcoming horror-thriller film from

Netflix, starring Lola Evans, and Asa Butterfield, known for his main part on Netflix's 'Sex Education' as Otis,

and other various projects like the 'Ender Games' and 'Miss Peregrine', currently exploring the horror genre,

with 'Choose or Die', and his upcoming art-house horror 'Flux Gourmet'.

As we know, everything has already been invented, and the content we're seeing now is just new takes on the already

existing plots that have been done thousands and thousands of times, and this 'survival game' or 'videogame'

come to life is not the exception, we've seen it in multiple Japanese animation series, comics, and films before

, and 'Choose or Die' is coming to bring a new layer to this existing plot with its unique point of view.

The movie follows Kayla (Lola Evans), a college student dealing with tons of debts and financial problems, that finds

out about a lot of unclaimed rewards for completing different vintage video games, and decides to play 'CURS>R'

eyeing the grand prize of $100.000 for completing the game, but quickly find out, after

weird things start happening to her surroundings, and the game has somehow become her reality, therefore she

is now playing to keep herself alive, and not for the money.

Isaac, played by Asa, is her friend and the only one that believes what she's going through, and they will have to

figure out what to do to stay alive and beat 'CURS>R'.
