Everyone has heard, or read, about 'The Sandman' at least once in a lifetime.
One of the most famous and critically acclaimed graphic novels by the great mind Neil Gaiman,
first released back in 1988, and with multiple editions and re-releases to date, as the graphic novel
still holds an audience to this day, and is part of the DC Universe.
Knowing all this is no surprise that Netflix decided it was time to adapt this modern masterpiece
and bring to life these fantastic characters that so many people love... or hate, given that the morality
of some of them are not exactly crystal clear.
After a lot of teasers, we finally got the first details of the show, including the cast announcement with amazing
individual character posters that let us know this was a British production, starring Tom Sturridge as 'Dream',
the magnific Gwendoline Christie as the fallen angel 'Lucifer', Kirby Howell-Baptiste from 'Why Women Kill'
as 'Death' and many others, including Mason Alexander, a non-binary actor starring as 'Desire',
which is always great, to have some representation on screen from actors that are part of the community.
And in case you have an unclear idea of the plot for this TV Show, we follow 'Dream', also known as 'Morpheus'
when he's mistakenly captured and kept in a bottle for decades after a wizard tries to capture his sister 'Death'
to make a deal for eternal life.
When he finally breaks free he has to gain back the power that he has been stripped of and make them all
fear him again.
So we're off for an ominous ride, with many fantastic elements and characters that are gonna leave us wanting
more, and is coming to us this August 5th, be ready and add it to your lists!
