But what is the origin of this demand? It all starts with his nephew, Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, who claims that he had a romantic relationship with the singer that lasted seven months. However, the singer's lawyers don't seem to care much about the situation, or at least that's what they show, claiming that there is no conclusive evidence.

In fact, the lawsuit is for domestic violence and in Puerto Rico, where incest laws allow for a sentence of up to half a century if proven.

The first hearing of the trial will take place on July 21. It is there where the singer's nephew will have to prove the accusation he filed against him, which implies a relationship between blood relatives.

At first, the plaintiff remained anonymous, protected by Act 54, which protects victims of domestic violence; however, it was Eric Martin, the defendant's brother, who brought the name of Dennis, his nephew, to light.
