American Music Awards Nominations are here! And to no one's surprise, Bad Bunny is the most nominated artist of the night. The Puerto Rican artist has earned eight nominations ahead of Beyoncé, Drake and Taylor Swift, who received six nominations each. The fact that Bad Bunny has garnered so many nominations at the AMAs is quite a success. In fact, For years, the awards have focused exclusively on Anglo-Saxon artists. Meanwhile, Spanish-speaking artists only stood out in the Latin version of the awards, known as the Latin American Music Awards and presented at a separate ceremony.
Thus, Bad Bunny could win one of the most important awards of the night, the artist of the year. In fact, in the category he will face great artists that pose a huge competition such as; Adele, Beyoncé, Drake, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd. But that's not all, the Puerto Rican will also compete in other nominations such as: best tour of the year; best music video for "Me Porto Bonito"; best pop artist; pop album for "Un Verano Sin Ti"; best Latin album, best Latin artist and Latin song.
The rest of the artists nominated in the Latin categories are: Farruko, J Balvin, Jhayco and Rauw Alejandro, in best Latin artist; Anitta, Becky G, Kali Uchis, Karol G and Rosalía, in best Latin artist; and Banda MS, Calibre 50, Eslabon Armado, Grupo Firme and Yahritza Y Su Esencia, in best group.
The nominees for best Latin album are "Motomami" by Rosalía, "La 167" by Farruko, "Jose" by J Balvin, "Vice Versa" by Rauw Alejandro and the aforementioned "Un Verano Sin Ti" by Bad Bunny. Finally, the winners will be announced on November 20 at the official awards ceremony.
