Actress and singer Lindsay Lohan will soon return to the world of acting. However, before making it official, the artist has released her own rendition of the Christmas classic "Jingle Bell Rock." If you're a fan of Lindsay, you'll know that the song had its first moment in the 2004 movie 'Mean Girls'. In fact, that was one of the most iconic moments of the movie in which Lohan played the lead character Cady Heron. "Jingle Bell Rock," performed by Lindsay, belongs to the official soundtrack of the Netflix original movie, "Falling for Christmas".
Netflix couldn't help but make a clear reference to the song's beloved performance on the "Plastics" talent show. "Open your camcorder because yes, that's Lindsay Lohan singing Jingle Bell Rock in the Falling For Christmas trailer, Netflix wrote on Twitter when it first posted the trailer in October. Lohan's upbeat version of the holiday classic also features rapper Ali Tomineek. "Falling for Christmas" will be available on Netflix beginning Thursday, Nov. 10 and stars Lohan, Chord Overstreet and George Young.
To celebrate her comeback, Lohan appeared on the cover of Cosmopolitan and talked about her return to acting. "I'm very excited. It's fun to be back in New York and filming. I love this part of the process. After filming, it's the fun part. So I feel great and very excited and happy," she said. Linday has been far away from the acting world and it has been many years since she last released a new song. However, it seems that the actress has recovered sufficiently from her personal problems and is back in the ring. In fact, 'Falling for Christmas' will be Lindsay's first film after several years off.
