Rumer Glenn Willis, the eldest daughter of Bruce Willis, has confirmed her father's diagnosis. The actor, who in fact had already withdrawn from the industry, has finally received a diagnosis after suffering from different symptoms. For his family, this is a relief, as they did not know what was wrong with him. The news has in fact been spread by his daughter through her Instagram account.
Bruce had already some time ago suffered from aphasia, a symptom of frontotemporal dementia, a diagnosis given to the actor. This symptom severely affected his speech, and that is why, since then, the actor had distanced himself from acting. In part, the choice of Willis' last roles, of a very minor nature, had been explained by this ailment. The type of dementia Willis suffers from is one of the most common, with the exception of Alzheimer's disease.
The news of the actor's illness has been all over the networks and everyone has been surprised. Bruce is highly known in the film industry, as he has been in around 120 movies. The actor is now very well taken care of by his family, although he has been progressively losing his abilities. His eldest daughter used Instagram to inform everyone of her father's condition, which came accompanied by a photo of actor where a faint smile is seen on his face.
"Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis. In the spirit of that, we wanted to give you an update. Our beloved husband, father and friend since we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing."
