Openly gay rapper Lil Nas X is in trouble. The author of "Industry Baby" used his twitter account to make a kind of joke, which in the end, turned out to be offensive to the trans community. The tweet in question, which has in fact already been deleted, was about gender transition, which all trans people go through in the search for their identity. For obvious reasons, this part of the community took the joke as offensive, accusing the rapper of openly mocking them. However, not long after, the artist, who is part of the LGTBIQ+ community, apologized for handling the situation in anger instead of considering why his behavior was wrong. He added that he had a lot of love for the trans community and was sorry for what happened.
All the drama starts because the singer had posted a photo of influencer Glow Princess, insinuating that he had recently undergone gender affirmation surgery. Many of his followers criticized the joke, calling it offensive and unfortunate, especially in light of the recent anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation. Lil Nas X defended his comment saying he was only commenting on the physical resemblance between them.
However, after all the controversy caused by the 23-year-old artist, he himself deleted his tweets that had given rise to everything, and then offered a sincere apology to the trans community and anyone who felt offended by what he had said hours earlier. On the other hand, the rapper is preparing for what will be a concert festival, known as Lollapalooza, which will take place in different Latin American countries, the main ones being Chile and Argentina.
