Netflix is introducing changes to UK ad-supported plan

Netflix has long been looking for more options to gain subscribers, in addition to keeping existing subscribers. That is why, a few months ago, the new subscription option arrived in several countries such as United Kingdom. This low-cost plan, which has included Netflix, will soon receive new updates to improve its users' experience, all for free. Among these new updates are improved video quality and two simultaneous screens. In fact, Although both plans offer more or less the same in terms of quality, Netflix's basic plan, for now, has a more elebrate cost than the advertised one.

Spain and Canada already have the update, which will soon arrive in the United Kingdom at the end of the month. In fact, this update will also reach all countries where this advertising plan exists. The most expected change is the video quality, which will go up from 720p to 1080p and thanks to this, the 'Basic with ads' and instead will become 'Standard with ads', as it will be more similar to the Standard plan.

Although many people think so, this will not result in a price increase. Netflix will keep the cost at £4.99/month in the United Kingdom, however, in other countries it has a higher cost and is £6.99/month since the price increase last year.

Although thanks to competition the streaming platform has lost some subscribers, Netflix still has more subscribers than many other streaming services.
