The adventure that began with a peculiar story of a post-apocalyptic world where a half-human, half-deer boy seeks a new beginning accompanied by a surly man was a total success for the Netflix streaming platform. All this success led the series to get an official second season, however, many fans do not know when the series will return to Netflix. According to official information from the streaming platform, the second season of "Sweet Tooth" premieres on Thursday, April 27 on Netflix. Considering that the first installment only tackled a part of the comic book series, which has more than 40 issues, the screenwriters have had material to continue the story of Gus and the rest of hybrids.
In a second installment, Christian Convery will return as Gus; Nonso Anozie as Jepperd; Stefania LaVie Owen as Bear, leader of the pro-hybrid group; Adeel Akhtar as Aditya Singh, a doctor seeking a cure to save his wife; and Dania Ramirez as Aimee, a former therapist who builds a sanctuary for the hybrids.
At the end of the first season of "Sweet Tooth," Gus discovers that he was created in a lab and escapes to the countryside, where he finds a crashed plane from which he communicates with the Hybrid Children's Reservation. Abbot and his men soon arrive on the scene and shoot Jepperd to take Gus away.
When Aditya meets Gus she realizes he is special, so she ask them to bring in another hybrid to experiment with. Meanwhile, Aimee rescues Jepperd in the hope that together they can get their children back.
In the last scene of the first installment, Bear manages to communicate by radio with Pajarita. What was he looking for with his experiment? Soon, we'll find out.
