When talking about animated movies with a resounding success, the titles Toy Story, Shrek and Ice Age always come to mind. However, one of the most internationally recognized trilogies is undoubtedly the story of a Panda expert in the mystic arts. Kung Fu Panda managed to make a trilogy in which all the films were a success, all are individually good and also make a great addition to each other to tell the story of the Dragon Warrior; during CinemaCon it was confirmed that there would be a fourth installment of the saga and this would include all the villains that Po has faced.
The Chameleon will be the main villain of this fourth installment, according to Jack Black when he was reading of the script. This will be the strongest rival Po will ever face due to his power to bring back from the past those terrible rivals for the panda. He would force the hero to leave the Valley of Peace for the big city, where he would make him relive the great challenges he has had to face during his history as the Dragon Warrior. The villains Po defeated in the movies are Tai Lung, Shifu's former apprentice; Shen, the peacock who tried to annihilate all the pandas in China; and Kai, a fighter capable of absorbing the energy of the different kung fu masters.
For now, Jack Black is the only who is officially returning for Kung Fu Panda 4, who participated in the dramatic reading for CinemaCon attendees, and Mike Mitchell as director, who also held the chair on Kung Fu Panda 3. The movie will arrive on March 8, 2024.
