Prime Video will soon bring a movie adaptation that will win it many subscribers and that is Red, White & Royal Blue, the screen adaptation of the famous novel that Heartstopper and Young Royals fans will love and that will undoubtedly make many more fans fall in love with. In fact, Casey McQuiston is the author of the novel of the same name and in fact, the premiere of this adaptation is positioned as one of the most anticipated.
Red, White & Royal Blue tells the story of Alex, the son of the first female president of the United States, and Henry, the prince of Great Britain. Both boys are hostile to each other, and things get worse when photographers manage to get a picture of them in the middle of an altercation, so to settle the diplomacy between the countries, their parents decide to bring them together for a staged truce. However, in the midst of the reconciliation the two discover that they are more like-minded than they thought, and as time passes, their icy relationship transforms into something profound.
To bring Alex to life, the production chose Taylor Zakhar Perez, an actor known for participating in The Kissing Booth trilogy (2018-21); while Nicholas Galitzine will play Henry, who starred alongside Sofia Carson in Purple Hearts (Netflix). As for the rest of the cast, familiar faces such as Uma Thurman, Thomas Flynn, Stephen Fry, and even Polo Morin, a Mexican actor who is part of the LGBT+ community, revealed that he found out about the project through Tik Tok when his fans recommended the book.
Matthew Lopez is in charge of the direction of Red, White & Royal Blue, as well as the screenplay. The film will arrive on August 11, 2023 on Prime Video.
