The third installment of 'Paddington' is about to become a reality. 'Paddington in Peru', which is how it will be called, will begin shooting in various locations in London and Peru in the coming days, and we already know almost all the new signings that will participate in the film. One of the most shocking to viewers is the change of actress to play Mrs. Brown, the matriarch of the family. In that sense, actress Emily Mortimer will replace Sally Hawkins. Hawkins has issued a statement in which she said she felt it was "about time" to make way for someone else to play the character, although "I will always be in love with the world of Paddington".
As for new cast additions, 2019 Best Actress Oscar winner Olivia Colman will be one of the most talked about additions to the third part of 'Paddington'. Colman will play a nun who runs the home for retired bears where Aunt Lucy stays. Spain's Antonio Banderas will play an intrepid ship captain who will guide the Browns during their Peruvian adventures. Rachel Zegler will play his daughter.
In fact, Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Madeleine Harris and Samuel Joslin will repeat in 'Paddington in Peru', with Ben Whishaw as the original English voice of the charismatic bear. It will also mark the directorial debut of Dougal Wilson, acclaimed director of music videos and commercials.
In the official synopsis of the film we know that this time Paddington will return to Peru to visit Aunt Lucy, who now lives in a home for retired bears. As usual, the Brown family will accompany him on an adventure that promises epic mysteries in the Amazon jungle.
