Netlifx cancels 'Welcome to Eden' after two seasons.

The first season of Welcome to Eden was able to amass 140,340,000 Hours in Netflix’s global top ten and stayed in the global top ten for five weeks. Meanwhile, the series spent one week in Nielsen’s top ten list, for a total of 4.32 million hours. For a third season renewal, then the second season realistically needed to match or better its season 1 path and that did not happen.

According to Fotogramas, the second season of the series "accumulated 92 million hours watched in the five weeks it remained in the global top 10 of non-English speaking series".

Welcome to Eden follows "a group of young people who attend an exclusive party on a remote island. But the most tempting paradise can harbor the most dangerous secrets… and traps". The cast included Belinda, Amaia Salamanca, Lola Rodríguez, Berta Vázquez, Ana Mena, Begoña Vargas and Sergio Momo.

As the season finale ended on another cliffhanger, it definitely needs at least one more season but alas that won’t come to pass.

Another Spanish series wich come to an end is ´In Love All Over Again´, which premiered in February of this year. Having collected 16 million hours viewed, the platform decided not to continue with this production. The series is a creation of Carlos Montero and was not the expected success, however he is already working on the production Respira, also from the platform.

Finally, ´Sky High: The Series´ has also come to an end. The series is a spin-off of the movie of the same name and hit streaming in March of this year, having garnered 55 million hours in terms of number of views.
