After two films that passed without success, now Disney+ wants to give another chance to the literary saga of Percy Jackson with a television series adapting the books by Rick Riordan, which will be titled Percy Jackson and the Olympians and will have the author himself collaborating in its script. After recently showing its first official poster, now the platform has wanted to continue to whet the appetite of fans of the saga by sharing the individual posters of Percy Jackson and the Olympians focused on the members of the main trio, that is, Percy, Annabeth and Grover.
Under the direction of James Bobin (Dora and the Lost City of Gold, Alice Through the Looking Glass, Clue), Percy Jackson and the Olympians follows the story of Percy, a boy who discovers that the gods and ancient myths are real and that he himself is a demigod, being the son of Poseidon, the god of the seas. That is why Percy enters Camp Half-Blood, a place to train demigods like him where our protagonist will meet his best friends: the satyr Grover and the daughter of Athena, Annabeth Chase, with whom he will live exciting adventures.
The cast of Percy Jackson and the Olympians features young actors Walker Scobell (The Adam Project, Secret Headquarters), Leah Jeffries (The Beast, Something at Tiffany's) and Aryan Simhadri (Twelve at Home, My First Big Fight) as Percy, Annabeth and Grover respectively.
In fact, 20th Century Fox Television, 20th Television and Walt Disney Pictures under Disney+ distribution produce the series. Still without an official premiere date, Percy Jackson and the Olympians is expected to premiere in the Disney+ catalog sometime in 2024.
