Netflix has just officially confirmed that season 4 of 'Sex Education' will be the last of this remarkable series starring Asa Butterfield. Moreover, its final farewell is just around the corner, as the platform has also announced that its final batch of episodes will premiere next September 21, which means two years of waiting since the release of the third one. Many fans speculate that Netflix is the one who canceled the series, however, its creator, Laurie Nunn, said that while they were preparing season 4 "it became clear that it was the right time to graduate." That didn't stop some of the series' actors from jumping ship early - like Simone Ashley, who preferred to focus exclusively on 'The Bridgertons' - but everything points to 'Sex Education' getting the big finale it deserves.
In fact, Nunn acknowledges that it is bittersweet to have to say goodbye to the series, but also assures that she and her team are "incredibly proud of Sex Education" and that "we have worked tirelessly to make this final season and can't wait to share it with you."
In adittion, for many this comes as no surprise, as key 'Sex Education' actors such as Emma Mackey, had said that season four would be the final season for her character 'Maeve.'
So, before releasing the official trailer for the fourth season, Netflix has released a teaser where we can see Otis together with Eric in their new school, where Asa's character tries to introduce himself to his new classmates. Also, we see Adam spending time with his father and Maeve at her new school, where everything reminds her of Moordale School. In fact, the official trailer should not be long in coming.
