Writer and director Rebecca Miller has filmed her new movie. A dramatic comedy entitled She Came to Me, which premiered at the last Berlin Festival. Now, this project produced by Roun Films and Killer Films shows a new trailer in which we can see the interpretative waste of its leading trio formed by Anne Hathaway, Marisa Tomei and Peter Dinklage. All actors full of talent without a doubt.
In this story, Dinklage plays opera composer Steven Lauddem, who is going through several stalemates in his life, such as his marriage to Patricia (Hathaway). As Steven goes through a deep creative crisis, he finds a spark of inspiration in his relationship with a tugboat captain (Tomei). It is then that a love triangle ensues. Miller enlisted composer Daniel Felsenfeld and Metropolitan Opera general manager Peter Gelb as consultants on the film to get an authentic look into the world of composers and opera. Hathaway also produces the film. The film is one of many that the actress has been working on in recent months, including Eileen and Mothers' Instinct. In fact, she is currently filming the A24 production, Mother Mary.
As the main novelty, She Came to Me will bring with it a new original song by Bruce Springsteen, entitled Addicted to Romance. "The Boss" has already indicated that he was inspired by the film to compose the song, something he hadn't done for a year. The selection of the singer was something that both Miller and the film's composer, Bryce Dessner, were involved in choosing the renowned singer.
She Came to Me will hit North American theaters on September 29.
