High school is over and now another stage opens: college life. This is the context for the characters of Sex Education during the fourth season of the series, which arrives on Netflix on September 21. The new chapters will also mark the farewell for one of the most avant-garde television productions of the time for its entertaining and taboo-free narrative about sexuality. Winner of BAFTAs and an Emmy, the fiction created by Laurie Nunn has been applauded for its inclusive handling of characters and for exploring timely issues around teenage sex lives, identity and mental health. In fact, in the next installment, this focus continues through the challenges encountered by Maeve, Otis and Eric outside the halls of Moordale.
In images released by Netflix this August 2, the duo played by Asa Butterfield and Ncuti Gatwa are at their new school, Cavendish Sixth Form College, where they see that things are not as they thought they were. The fourth season refreshes the story by introducing the "coven", a group formed by the three popular students of Cavendish Sixth Form College. Felix Mufti, Anthony Lexa and Alexandra James play this characters. Also, the creator revealed in an interview with Tudum, Abbi and Roman (Lexa and Mufti) are a trans couple.
As for what we will see in the new episodes of Sex Education, the sypnosis says "Otis thinks about creating a new sex clinic and Eric just hopes they don't repeat their loser facet. Eventually, they'll be in for a surprise that they're on another level here… They practice yoga in their community garden, there's respect for diversity, a very strong sense of sustainability, and the cool kids are really nice."
