Time and memory will be the main ingredients in All of Us Strangers, the new film by Andrew Haigh (Weekend and Lean on Pete) in which Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal are a gay couple in an intriguing story that begins with a friendship like any other, but then takes a turn in which a distant death seems to have escaped the passing of time to settle in the present. The film revealed new images where we can see the main actors giving life to the protagonists of this title that arrives at the end of 2023.
The image was released via Vanity Fair and features the Irish duo of Scott, acclaimed for his roles in major TV series such as Fleabag and Sherlock, and Oscar-nominated Mescal, who starred in projects such as Normal People and Aftersun. Both will bring to life characters that promise to delight audiences who love drama, mystery and LGBT-themed films.
The film follows the life of Adam (Andrew Scott), a screenwriter living in a nearly empty tower block in contemporary London. Everything begins to change when he has a chance encounter with his mysterious neighbor, Harry (Paul Mescal). This punctures the rhythm of his daily life and leads him to develop a close relationship with him, which unexpectedly drags him gradually back to his old home as a child. There, he discovers that his parents (played by The Crown's Claire Foy and Billy Elliot's Jamie Bell), who died 30 years ago, are alive and appear to be the same age as when they passed away.
Disney's Searchlight Pictures unveiled the film's announcement and it will hit theaters on December 22 in the United States.
