The producers of the popular series Suits are open to the possibility of reviving the series thanks to its second life on Netflix. In fact, the legal drama that aired on USA Network for nine seasons between 2011 and 2019 chronicled the events of a fictional New York firm with Mike Ross (Patrick J Adams) and Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) as the main characters. It was the last production in which Meghan Markle acted before retiring and marrying Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex. In fact, thanks to its tenure in the Netflix and Peacock (NBC's online platform) catalog, Suits has become the most popular series on streaming services, according to Nielsen, with 3.1 billion minutes watched between June 26 and July 2.
"You know, in era of reboots, I've mentioned to Aaron [Korsh, creator and head writers of the series] that I expect to get a phone call at some point and have it happen, but I'm not aware of any serious conversations yet," Gene Klein, one of the series' producers explained to TVLine.
Even with the huge success Suits is having on streaming platforms, especially Netflix, it won't be so easy to reunite the cast of the series. It would also be hampered by the series finale. Mike and Rachel's character had their finale, in season six, to accommodate Meghan Markle's wedding to Prince Henry. At the end of season nine, Harvey and Donna left the firm and New York City to join Mike and Rachel in Chicago. Even Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) leaves town as part of the initial plot of the only Suits spin-off, which unfortunately was a flop. The only one who would remain is Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman).
