Warrior Nun returns as a film trilogy.
Warrior Nun, the cancelled Netflix series will now be a trilogy of films.
Every day Netflix cancels series, very few come back, but that is what has happened with Warrior Nun, the fantasy drama that, after its first two seasons, did not meet the streaming giant's expectations. However, in an unexpected twist for fans, the fiction will not return for a third batch of chapters, but will become a new trilogy of movies. The executive producer Dean English revealed this, who surprised fans with his announcement.
Much of this television miracle is thanks to the fans, who were not willing to say goodbye. A massive campaign was launched in networks to recover the series with the hashtag SaveWarriorNun, which was trending on several occasions. An extra online petition for the renewal of the fiction with a third season, which gathered more than 123 thousand signatures. Their fervent efforts bore fruit when the creator of the series, Simon Barry, confirmed its return through social networks.
"Today i officially inform you that, thanks to your combined voices, passion and incredible efforts, The Warrior Nun will be back and it's going to be more EPIC than you could ever imagine," Barry tweeted last June, announcing the good news without revealing further details. Until that moment, everyone knows that somehow or another, the series was coming back.
It wasn't until this past Tuesday that executive producer Dean English shared the exciting news of the reincarnation of the fiction in a format that no one expected. "I'm very happy to announce that Warrior Nun will return as a trilogy of films. Once again, a trilogy of feature films. Three," English commented in a video posted on Youtube.
