Will Heartstopper have a third season?

'Heartstopper' is one of the youth series of the moment in streaming. Premiered in 2022, it did not need much time to become one of the favorite titles of Netflix subscribers. Two days ago, the new season with 8 episodes is already available on Netflix. In fact, in just a few hours, the story has already entered the global Top 10 of the most watched streaming, so many fans are already wondering when there will be an official confirmation of a third installment.

For the moment, there is no announcement from Netflix about new episodes, but the cast has spoken about it in recent interviews. Likewise, the denouement of season 2 allows us to make several assumptions. So for now, everything is just guesswork. While many series have currently halted production due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, 'Heartstopper' may not be affected, as it is produced by a British-Australian team and the actors work primarily under contracts from Equity UK, the UK actors' association that has remained active.

In July this year, Alice Oseman, author of the graphic novel on which 'Heartstopper' is based, shared on Instagram a text in which she said they were "hard at work this summer writing scripts for season 3″. In addition, she herself, herself has told Entertainment Weekly that she is "actively writing" the third season of the Netflix series: "There's so much new stuff that gives us so much to play with in season 3.”

'Heartstopper' is undoubtedly one of Netflix's biggest hits at the moment, so it's more than obvious that the platform will renew the series for at least two more seasons.
