Ahead of her return as Carol Danvers in The Marvels, Brie Larson is coming to the Apple TV+ screen with her new series, Lessons in Chemistry, and finally we got the first trailer. Set in the early 1950s, the series follows Elizabeth Zott (Larson), whose dream of becoming a scientist is put on hold in a patriarchal society that doesn't allow her to grow up on par with men in the scientific field.
When Elizabeth must leave her job at her lab, she takes a job as a TV cooking show host and sets out to teach a nation of oblivious housewives (and the men who suddenly listen to her) much more than recipes.
Also the based on the best-selling novel by author, science editor and copywriter Bonnie Garmus, Lessons in Chemistry will make its worldwide debut on Friday, October 13 on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes, and new episodes will premiere weekly every Friday through November 24. Starring alongside Larson are Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: Maverick), NAACP Image Aja Award winner Naomi King (How to Get Away with Murder), Stephanie Koenig (The Flight Attendant), Kevin Sussman (The Big Bang Theory), Patrick Walker (Gaslit) and Thomas Mann (Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty).
