The anticipation for the premiere of Cassandro has finally been answered after the film's release on Prime Video. As such, the streaming platform has released some clips for viewers to get a closer look at Gael García Bernal and Bad Bunny in their scenes together. Among the ones that have attracted the most attention is one in which both artists give each other a passionate kiss, which you can now also see in the full film if you have a subscription to the video service.
Directed by Academy Award winner Roger Ross Williams, the feature film chronicles the life of "Cassandro", a veteran wrestler who has once again gained notoriety for being one of the first openly gay wrestlers in the world of professional wrestling, breaking stereotypes and established norms in the sport. This portrait highlights not only his fights inside the ring, but also his personal battles and how his sexual orientation influenced his professional career.
It also features Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny. The music star plays Felipe, one of Cassandro's love interests throughout the film and with whom he shares several scenes in addition to the commented kiss revealed in a clip prior to its release on the platform. The prominent artist comes from other recognized titles such as the series Narcos: Mexico and the movie Tren bala.
