For everyone, the cancellation of 'Alice in Borderland' was inevitable, as it had been 9 months since the premiere of its second season and Netflix had not issued anything about it, so fans were already expecting the worst. However, almost by surprise, the streaming plataform has announced that its Japanese hit will return for a season 3. It has done so with an image in which we saw the Joker's card, representing the sort of cliffhanger with which the fans said goodbye to the adventures of the protagonists. So it seems that fans will focus on their encounter with this mysterious character. Of course, fans are afraid that they have to wait a few months to find out exactly what becomes of Arisu and Usagi.
Based on the manga of the same name by Haro Aso, 'Alice in Borderland' tells the story of a young girl who finds herself transported to a parallel world where she must survive by playing a series of diabolical and lethal games. A premise that, in a way, would precede 'The Squid Game', released the following year. The series stars Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya, who headed a cast that included Tomohisa Yamashita, Yuri Tsunematsu, Hayato Isomura, Kai Inowaki, Katsuya Maiguma and Honami Sato in the second installment. Shinsuke Sato is the director of the series.
Alice in Borderland season 3 will undoubtedly continue the action with a new game that will probably be more macabre than the previous 52. However, no details have been offered on the new season, whether the entire cast will return and, most importantly, when it will arrive on Netflix, but it's promising to know that Alice in Borderland still had a card up its sleeve.
