Netflix's animated samurai series 'Blue Eye Samurai,' co-created by Amber Noizumi and Michael Green, the talented writer behind Logan and Blade Runner 2049, is generating positive expectations. Directing is Jane Wu, an art and storyboard veteran with credits on such films as Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Guardians of the Galaxy and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Blue Eye Samurai has a description as a larger-than-life action adventure that takes place 400 years ago. In addition, the voice cast is impressive, including Maya Erskine, George Takei, Masi Oka, Randall Park and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. Visual development artist, Damon Bard revealed on Instagram that the samurai series will premiere on November 3. While two months may seem like a long wait in the streaming world, the series was initially announced in October 2020, which means we finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and an official debut date is announced. Blue Eye Samurai could be the catalyst for a new chapter in quality anime offerings on Netflix. With an intriguing premise, a talented behind-the-scenes team and a stellar cast, this series has the potential to captivate audiences and change the perception about animation on the streaming platform. The wait until November will surely be worth it when we can finally dive into this epic adventure of action and mystery set 400 years ago.
