For days we have been learning new details about what will be Gen V, the spin off of The Boys. But this Wednesday, the official final trailer of the series was revealed, showing that it will be as or even more brutal than the original series. Gen V will arrive to expand The Boys universe by introducing viewers to the world of Godolkin College, the prestigious superhero-only university. There, students train to be the next generation of heroes (preferably with lucrative sponsorships).
The Gen V sypnosis states that "what happens when supers go bad, but not all superheroes start out corrupt. Beyond the typical college mayhem; from finding themselves and partying, these kids will face explosive situations…literally. While the students struggle for popularity and good grades, it's clear that the challenges are much more difficult when superpowers are involved. When the group of young supers discover that something bigger and more sinister is going on at school. With that they will be put to the test: Will they become the heroes or the villains of their stories?" the teaser points out.
The series will debut on Prime Video with three episodes on Friday, September 29. Thereafter, episodes will premiere on a weekly basis leading up to the epic season finale on Friday, November 3. The cast is led by Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann and Patrick Schwarzenegger. Gen V also features Clancy Brown and Jason Ritter as guest stars. As well as appearances by Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit and P.J. Byrne, playing their respective characters from The Boys.
