20th Century Studios and New Regency unveil the first trailer and first poster for 'The Bikeriders,' an intense drama written and directed by Jeff Nichols that follows the rise of a fictional 1960s Midwest motorcycle club through the lives of its various members. Jodie Comer, Austin Butler, Tom Hardy, Michael Shannon, Mike Faist, Norman Reedus, Boyd Holbrook, Damon Herriman, Beau Knapp, Emory Cohen, Karl Glusman, Toby Wallace and Happy Anderson head the cast of this film that will be released in U.S. theaters on December 1. In fact, among them, they boast nominations at the Oscar, BAFTA, Tony's, Emmy's and even Grammy's awards.
The film, directed by Jeff Nichols, follows a motorcycle gang in the 1960s. It recreates the social scenario of that time, when young people led a wave of change in different areas. It also takes into account the precarious economic situation in the city of Chicago, where the events take place. The story is inspired by Danny Lyon's photography book. The American collected stories of motorcycle gangs through photography and made it public in 1967.
Jeff Nichols tried to be faithful to the images in his film. It will be possible to find out if he succeeded in less than four months. In fact, this is the Californian actor's first work after Elvis, a role that earned him his first and so far only Oscar nomination. He will next be seen (much changed) as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen in Dune: Part 2, to be released on March 15, 2024. Undoubtedly, we are before one of the best actors of the next few years.
