Many feared it wouldn't capture the essence of John Wick, but after watching the first sequence, our fear has completely disappeared and now we're just looking forward to seeing more fights in Peacock's series.
In the video by Peacock that its available through its social networks, we can see one of the new characters of the franchise, Frankie Scott, Winston Scott's brother, facing a few men in black to quickly escape from what appears to be a hotel belonging to The Continental. Recall that the series will arrive exclusively on Peacock next September 22, 2023 and it will take place in the 1970s. Instead of focusing on John Wick, we will learn the story of Winston and his struggle to gain leadership of The Continental.
In fact, the series will explore the origin behind the iconic hotel for assassins, which is the centerpiece of the John Wick universe. The production will be seen through the eyes of a young Winston Scott, as he is dragged into the hell of 1970s New York, to face a past he thought he had left behind. Winston traces a deadly route through the hotel's mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to take over the hotel where he will eventually take his throne.
