The director of the new Fantastic Four movie, Matt Shakman, has assured all the fans that the shooting of the movie will start soon. And not only that, he has also revealed that the cast is ready and the announcement of them will be once the actors and actresses strike in Hollywood is over. Speaking recently to Collider, Shakman announced that shooting on the highly anticipated film may begin in the spring of 2024. "Yes, we will definitely be in front of the cameras next year. Probably in the spring."
To this, the director added that production will take place in London at Pinewood Studios and, despite the strikes, he has been working with effects and production design while building the film's world. As for the film itself, Shakman says that we will be looking at something very different from the previous films of these characters, and that it will be completely different from what fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have come to expect.
This Fantastic Four reboot presents itself as an opportunity that Marvel cannot waste in any way, an opportunity with which they should revamp their system, their vision, their style and even their goals to reach out to comic book fans.
Although things haven't moved as fast as some had hoped, the film is still on track and director Matt Shakman, best known for WandaVision and Fargo knows well that there are high expectations to be met, but he believes they will actually be able to do it. In an interview with Collider, the creator explained, "[The film] is different in a lot of ways. I wish I could be specific. I wish I could say more."
