The first glimpse of the spin-off Orphan Black: Echoes, a series featuring Krysten Ritter, known for her role in the Jessica Jones series, is here. The AMC+ project, with a total of 10 episodes, will premiere in 2024 and will mark Ritter's return to television after the famous Marvel Studios production that, after two seasons and a special event with the heroes of New York, reached its conclusion in 2019. In the same way, the actress will have the task of giving an equal performance or greater than that of her predecessor Tatiana Maslany in the original story.
Created by Anna Fishko and with John Fawcett, co-creator of Orphan Black, as executive producer, this new spin-off story will delve into the fascinating study on the scientific manipulation of human existence. The plot follows a group of women who cross paths on a path full of mysteries about their identity, a premise that is further complicated by the characters' experiences of love and betrayal. In addition to Ritter, the cast includes Zariella Langford, who plays Charlie, and Avan Jogia (Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City), who plays Jack.
British actress Keely Hawes, famous for her role as Lindsay Denton in the drama series Line of Duty (HBO Max), plays the doctor who appears in dialogue with Lucy (Ritter) in the trailer. Also, Rya Kihlstedt (A Teacher) and James Hiroyuki Liao (Barry) are others actors of the series, while Reed Diamond (Mosquito Coast) will make recurring appearances. Meanwhile, Kihlstedt will play Eleanor, a brilliant neuroscientist. Liao will play Darros, a powerful billionaire, and Diamond will appear as Tom, the former military head of corporate security at the Darros Foundation.
