Apple TV+ today unveiled the trailer for Constellation, its psychological thriller drama series that combines themes of conspiracy and space adventure. In fact, actress Noomi Rapace, known for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and actor Jonathan Banks, Emmy-nominated for his work on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, lead the cast of this production that promises to be an intense journey through the mysteries of space and the human mind.
The eight-episode drama will make its worldwide debut on February 21, launching the first three episodes of the season and with weekly installments every Wednesday through March 27 via Apple's streaming platform. Also, the fiction, created and written by Peter Harness, screenwriter of Wallander and War of the Worlds, features Rapace as Jo, an astronaut who returns to Earth after an incident on her space mission, only to find that fundamental aspects of her existence seem to have been erased.
The plot, described as an exploration of the shadows of the psyche and one woman's struggle to unravel buried truths about the history of space exploration, delves into the realm of psychological thrillers. In addition, the other actors are James D'Arcy, known for his role in Agent Carter and the film Oppenheimer, Julian Looman (Emily in Paris), William Catlett, Barbara Sukowa as Rosie and Davina Coleman.
Emmy Award-winning Michelle MacLaren is the filmmaker this time, a veteran of such series as The Morning Show and Breaking Bad, along with Oliver Hirschbiegel and Joseph Cedar, both Oscar nominees. Also, Constellation is a project of Turbine Studios and Haut et Court TV, with Small Axe's David Tanner and Tracey Scoffield, No Man's Land's Caroline Benjo, Simon Arnal and Carole Scotta, and Liaison's Justin Thomson executive producing.
