One of the most important gems in the Netflix catalog will soon say goodbye with its season 5. With a plot of science fiction, suspense and adventure, Stranger Things stood out as an original work of the duo Matt and Ross Duffer. And die-hard fans of the series include Terminator star Linda Hamilton, who was tapped to join the cast of the final installment in the summer of 2023. In conversation with US Magazine, Hamilton admitted a hidden disadvantage of participating in a project of which she is a fan. "I've watched every season. I love it," she indicated. However, her immersion in the upcoming episodes is now different because now she is not just a spectator.
"When you really believe something, you don't see yourself there. So I think, in a way, that kind of ruined the series for me. I never see [a project], once I'm in something," he explained. "It would completely take me out of reality to see myself in there. So I won't watch [season five]."
Despite being part of the show, Hamilton confessed that he doesn't know details about the show's finale as all information is kept very secretive. In his preparation for filming, the showrunners gave him details about his character, but did not talk much about the story in general. "That's why I still don't know how it ends," she explained.
Although specific details about Hamilton's role and the fate of his co-stars remain under wraps, anticipation for how Stranger Things will conclude its various plots is palpable. The production phase was to begin in January 2023, but plans changed in the context of industry strikes.
