Coming to theaters this summer is Boy Kills World, a new action thriller starring Bill Skarsgård (IT, John Wick 4, Barbarian, Nosferatu) under the direction of Moritz Mohr, marking the filmmaker's first feature film. The film's plot revolves around "Boy," a young deaf-mute who vows revenge after Hilda Van Der Koy the deranged matriarch of a corrupt post-apocalyptic dynasty, murdered his family. They left our protagonist orphaned, deaf and voiceless when he was just a child.
The story specifically about Boy, who has something John Wick in his DNA; he vows revenge after his loose his family by "the deranged matriarch of a corrupt post-apocalyptic dynasty who left the boy orphaned, deaf and voiceless," played by Famke Janssen. And in fact, it gets weirder from there! "Driven by his inner voice, which he adopted from his favorite childhood video game, Boy trains with a mysterious shaman (Yayan Ruhian) becomes an instrument of death and is let loose on the eve of the annual sacrifice of dissidents. Chaos ensues as Boy commits bloody mayhem in the martial arts, inciting a rage of killing and bloodshed. As he tries to get his bearings in this delirious realm. Boy soon joins a desperate resistance group, while arguing with the apparent ghost of his rebellious little sister.
In addition of Bill Skarsgård, the cast of Boy Kills World includes Famke Janssen (X-Men, Knights of the Zodiac, Redeemer Love), Yayan Ruhian (John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, Ben and Jody), Sharlto Copley (Monkey Man, The Beast), Brett Gelman (Lady of the Lake, Bitch Life), Jessica Rothe (The Dealer), Andrew Koji (Bullet Train) and with H. Jon Benjamin (Archer) as the voiceover for Boy.
