Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation (Shrek) have released the first teaser trailer for The Wild Robot, the studio's new animated feature written and directed by Chris Sanders, known for his work on How to Train Your Dragon (2010) and The Croods (2013). The science fiction story, based on the illustrated bestseller by Peter Brown, explores the premise that "sometimes, to survive, we must become more than we were programmed to be." 'The Wild Robot,' is the first part of a book trilogy, the second being 'The Wild Robot Escapes' and the third 'The Wild Robot Protects.'
Along with the first teaser, here's the official sypnosis: "The epic adventure follows the journey of a robot - ROZZUM unit 7134, Roz, who is shipwrecke on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the harsh environment, gradually establishing relationships with the island's animals and becoming the adoptive mother of an orphaned goose".
In fact, the opening trailer introduces us to the charming Robot and suggests that the film will minimize dialogue, focusing on the deep existential questions he faces as he explores his purpose in the world. Along his journey, he learns life lessons from the wildlife he encounters along the way.
