Anyone would have said a few years ago that, after the first Sonic trailer that caused so much controversy, the universe of the hedgehog in the cinema would be this big, since the film was not only a success at the box office, but has also given rise to a trilogy that will culminate, at first, with the great encounter between Sonic and Shadow, of which we have learned that Keanu Reeves will give voice to the black hedgehog.
However, before Sonic 3 arrives in theaters later this year, we will have the series starring Knuckles with a homonymous title in which we will not only see the echidna adapting to his new life on Earth after the events at the end of Sonic 2, but also serve as a bridge between the two tapes so that viewers can understand what has happened in all this time.
In that sense, Paramount+ is promoting it as one of its great products something that is obvious in the in several previews of what we will see in the series, which, although it may come as a surprise, will feature Idris Elba voicing the well-known character. However, it seems that just a week before its premiere, a preview of the first chapter is now out and we can see a full scene starring Sonic and Tails.
Rotten Tomatoes has been in charge of sharing this exclusive clip, which shows Sonic and Tails talking to Maddie Wachowski (Tika Sumpter) about Knuckles, which gives a first glimpse of Knuckles with the family dog, Ozzie. It should be noted, however, that this characters are listed as guest stars, as the entire focus of the series will be on Knuckles.
Knuckles coming exclusively to Paramount+ on April 26th.
